We all know how different families can be, but the one thing that doesn't change is the different personalities that show up sitting around the table. Whether it is Christmas or the Fourth of July, if you are with your family, you are guaranteed to see some, if not all, of these people.
Here are five personalities you will find at every family party.
1. The Social Butterfly
We all know the energetic, bubbly personality that arises at family events. She is usually a female and many times, the host of the show. She is the one who hugs your significant other that she has just met like she has known him or her forever. The social butterfly will try to make sure that everyone is comfortable and happy, usually planning the food, games, and competitions. She will ensure that even the wallflowers are included.
2. The Wallflower
The wallflower is the quiet one of the family, the one that usually sits alone. The wallflowers tend to come to the family events alone and rarely bring visitors. You can usually find him or her in the corner away from the party with a phone or book in hand to keep as company. He or she is the forgotten member of the family, not because he or she is unimportant, but simply because of the silence.
3. The Blabber Mouth
There is always one member of every family that never knows when to stop talking. He or she is the one that tends to spill the secrets and causes the issues at family functions. If he or she isn’t causing problems, he or she is probably attempting to be the center of attention. The blabber mouths are also the storytellers of each family, the ones who have elaborate stories to tell, which take long amounts of time to complete. For every story that you tell, he or she can come up with a bigger and better story to tell.
4. The Crazy One
Everyone knows that there is a crazy person in every family, whether it is a crazy aunt or a crazy in-law. Even more than the blabber mouths, the crazy ones are the real troublemakers. They will make a big deal out of the smallest issues and cause a fun day to turn into something less. There is always one that is the bad kind of crazy.
5. The Clown
The clown of the family is usually loved by most, if not all, of the family. He or she is like the class clown of the kitchen or living room. They usually have a good sense of humor and are not afraid of making fun of themselves. They pick at the rest of the family and can sometimes be considered a social butterfly. The clowns are also the ones that tend to mess up the pictures with funny faces.
