As a student at St. John Fisher College, without a doubt in my mind you've heard the term "Fisher Cares." The Fisher Cares campaign basically is a way for the students at SJFC to know that the college truly cares about each and every one of us students, and that there are resources available to help us with anything we may need. Fisher Cares is a way to know that the people you're surrounded by aren't just other students, but rather, family. Fisher Cares is the reason that SJFC isn't just a college to the students, it's our home.

That being said, despite how amazing SJFC truly is, sometimes things happen around campus that just annoy and aggravate the students. What better way to deal with our frustrations than to turn to our favorite social media and b*tch about it using a (totally not sarcastic) #FisherCares hashtag?

Check out some of these salty #FisherCares tweets that are 100% relatable to any Fisher Student.

1. When Safety and Security has no chill!

2. And every student knows it....

3. Did someone say free tuition? No? Damn.

4. When our entire campus doesn't understand how chain emails work...

5. HE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE!

6. Our athletes basically get punished for staying on campus once everybody else has moved out.

7. When you're a commuter in the winter, Fisher doesn't care.

Despite the salty #FisherCares tweets that you see throughout the school year, don't let that trick you into thinking that Fisher doesn't care. There's a balance between the good and the bad, like there is with everything in life.

Here's some #FisherCares tweets that show that sometimes Fisher really does care.

1. Like that one snow storm?

They actually cancelled classes for a bad snow storm. When it comes down to it, our safety does matter to them!

2. Where Lackmann basically saved us all from ramen noodles...

Lackmann workers came in despite the campus being shut down to serve all of the students our meals. Without their dedication and kind hearts, we'd all be stuck in our rooms eating easy mac and ramen for the entire day. That was a day that Fisher showed it really cares.

3. Or that one time Lackmann made sure we didn't die on St. Patrick's Day?

Fisher didn't really want to deal with a bunch of dying college students, so instead they decided to open the dining hall early to make sure we didn't go drink on empty stomachs!! Not only does Fisher know.... Fisher cares.

4. That one time Fisher really helped Rachel out.

Fisher made this dream a reality for Rachel. Kudos Fisher, Kudos.

5. And free food? Free moes? We see you Fisher.

Stress free week is always a huge hit among students, but Fisher really did it this time with free Moe's. It was an excellent day for students on campus.

Basically, sometimes Fisher cares and sometimes Fisher doesn't care. The best way to hear about it all is through the twittersphere though, so don't forget to be a creep and check up on the #FisherCares hashtag once in a while!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
