7 Things That Will Happen During Your First Semester of College

Now that most colleges have started up again, there's a whole new class of freshman. Whether you're excited, nervous, or both for your first semester at college, here's seven things that will most likely happen to you in your first four months.

1. You'll probably get lost a lot the first week

Giphy

Especially if you're going to a big school. Maybe just leave an extra 10 minutes earlier for class the first week.

2. But then you'll figure out where everything is and know the campus like the back of your hand

Giphy

Once you know where everything is, you can definitely risk leaving for that 10 AM Bio class at 9:58.

3. Your sleep schedule will probably get messed up

Giphy

Going from waking up at 6 AM for high school to waking up four hours later every day will definitely mess with your previous sleep schedule. But, starting your day later means going to sleep later the night before, too!

4. ...And so will your diet

Giphy

Having no one telling you what to eat and having an unlimited supply of food will probably cause you to go a little crazy.

5. If you didn't live in leggings and sweatpants before, you probably will now

Giphy

Of course, there will always be people who are somehow able to wake up early and get ready, but most of us just throw on some sweatpants or leggings and head to class. It's more comfortable this way.

6. You'll meet a bunch of new people, and make new friends

Giphy

The best part of starting college is meeting all new people and making new friends!

7. You'll be excited to go back after winter break

Giphy

It'll be like you never even left.

Don't worry, you'll have an amazing first semester!

We Need More Than Memorials this Memorial Day
Cape Cod Irish

When I was a child, I used to look forward to Memorial Day Weekend from the time I returned to school after Christmas vacation.
