"And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night." Exodus 13:21
I hadn't seen a friend of mine in a LONG time. We'd been busy since the moment we graduated high school and only had seen each other in small doses aside from phone calls.
An evening came recently, that we'd be reunited after a very active summer. A small "bump in the road" presented itself before I would be able to go see her, however.
My car had been having some trouble and being repaired the previous week, and I would be driving in the dark on a road for around 40 minutes by myself, with spotty cell service, and traveling into an unfamiliar little town.
Despite all this, I didn't hesitate at the opportunity to see her, of course! I jumped into my little SUV and was off on a new adventure.
Laying up prayers over my car and safety all the way there, I noticed a car that had been in front of me for a while. When I was turning off the long road, that same car also turned. I just laughed and thought to myself, "oh, how cool! Maybe they're going to the same place." One turn, then two, and another! I ended up following this little white car all the way into the little town to which I was traveling. I call it my "little angel", a guide to safety.
I was amazed as this little car kept turning at my exact turns! I began laughing and just thanking the Lord for His faithful provisions. That little white car literally lit my way to (almost) my destination.
Exodus 13:21 (above) popped in my head as I kept watching the little vehicle in front turn down road after road in front of me. I just thought it was so cool the Lord had laid someone in my path going to the same place! That doesn't happen every day.
Immediately when I arrived at my friend's house, I jumped out and had to tell her! I began telling her and her father, who pastors a church across the street, and he smiled and chuckled his joyful laugh. It was very cool!
"And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith." Matthew 21:22
