Finals Week As Told By Heathers

Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?

Finals are rapidly approaching and I'm sure many of you are starting to lose your minds over deadlines, papers and studying for a test that could make or break your grade. But, hey, at least you aren't in high school anymore. Or, if you are attending high school, thank your lucky stars you don't have lunch with JD... blank stares during Pre-Calc are fine but let's not mess with blanks at the lunch table.

To help alleviate the stress, enjoy Finals Week as told by Heathers.

1. Living in denial of the week to come

Please do not remind me of that 10-page paper I haven't started yet that's due tomorrow.

2. The go-to excuse...

What? I forgot the paper was due tomorrow...

3. When you stay up all night cramming

If you had just stayed up all night finishing that godd**m paper I'm sure you would, too, Heather.

4. When people get on your nerves

Tensions are high, it happens. Just also opt for an apology over Drain-O.

5. When you procrastinate hard

I mean freezing your brain is better than a brain freeze on a final.

6. Then manage to procrastinate even harder...

My color-coded to-do lists warrant a break, right????

7. When you realize it's crunch time

Oh, help me sweet baby corn nuts.

8. So you start burning that midnight oil like...

One more hour of studying will mean I get three hours of sleep which means there's a slight possibility my memory might actually encode this...right?

9. When your friends brag about how ready they are for that test you're terrified for

What are you, Karen, a doctor of know-it-all-ology?

10. When your parents call and ask you if you're ready for exams

Let's hope...

11. Walking into the exam with your study group like...

12. When you can't hide your concern

It's okay... just a little test... that if you flunk you won't graduate and won't get a job and won't be a functioning member of society but like nbd.

13. There's always that one question

How many apples can Jimmy buy before they blow up the earth? Go.

13. How you will react to said question

Yup.

14. Hey, Veronica, what do you do when you don't know the test answer?

Sounds good to me.

15. When you want someone to validate you that that test was challenging

C'mon, I couldn't have struggled alone...

16. When you get your grade back...

And it was much better than anticipated. Definitely worth the hard work! Good luck with finals everyone. ;)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
