Oh, what a wonderful time of year this is! The smell of cinnamon and pine trees in the air, the sounds of Christmas carols in every store, the taste of homemade sugar cookies fresh out of the oven, the feel of the crisp, winter air on your skin; what a beautiful time to be alive! Christmas is just a few weeks away, and I just can't wait! But there is just one more thing that stands in the way of my complete Yuletide bliss: finals week. Forget the Grinch; nothing kills the holiday spirit like the sobering reminder of academic responsibilities. Hopefully, this article will bring some joy back into your hell finals week.
When you procrastinated too much, and you realize you have two days to finish all your papers and study for exams.
So you drink all the caffeine you can in order stay awake and get everything done.
But it backfires; now, you're so hyper that you can't focus.
In fact, you do a lot of weird things in public that you wouldn't normally do. If anyone asks why, just say, "It's finals week."
You stress-eat everything in your dorm room.
The type of food is irrelevant. As long as it's edible, you'll shove it in your face.
When your family asks how school is going, and you lie because the truth is too painful.
But they see through the ruse and try to comfort you.
When your friend offers to share their notes with you to help you study.
Your professor says the final won't be that hard.
Just as you suspected, there is at least one trick question.
And you're understandably pissed.
Then, you're sad because you're sure that you failed everything.
When, in reality, you did just fine.
Now, you get to go home to your family and have a well-deserved break!
Best of luck to everyone over these next few weeks! Buddy believes in you, and he's telling Santa to give all the good college students A's!
