Finals week! The words alone inspire stress, worry, and studying-galore. It's the final stretch before you go home for holiday fun, and it can really be horrible if you don't go into it with the right mindset.

You may wonder how you can make it through this week. Will you survive the all-nighters in the library? Can you salvage the grades you've let slip the past few weeks? How long can you stare at a textbook until your eyes stop working?

All of these questions are valid, and you are not the only one facing them. Final exams are a great hassle for any student at any school. No matter how 'done' feel you are with the semester, your final exam grade will be heavily reflected in your final course grade.

Unfortunately, finals are an unavoidable part of college that all students encounter. If you're lucky, you may not have exams during finals week. However, the rush of student activities that go on during the grueling week can be fun if you take advantage of them. Late-night pancakes, puppies to play with, and free crayons and coloring books are just a few of the things your school might offer to ease the atmosphere during the demanding days.

Although I can't make finals go away, or guarantee you'll do well, I can narrate the week through one of my all-time favorite movies - Toy Story!

You start off positive- let's do this!

Then you realize how much information you actually need to study.

So you open the textbook, and begin to stare at material you definitely never learned in class.

You've been staring at a computer screen for 7 hours straight, and you become a zombie.

You finally finish your study guide. You kindly send it to one friend, and next thing you know, the whole class is asking for it.

You go to your professor's office hours to get in last-minute questions before the exam.

You meet some friends during office hours, and decide to make a study group.

Everyone else wants to know what the professor told you during office hours.

Exam day is here! Your hand goes numb within the first 30 minutes from writing non-stop.

Someone won't stop coughing, sneezing, and disturbing the class during the exam.

Then the friends you helped end up getting a better grade on the exam than you do.

But you still end up with an A for the semester!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
