We are here. Last week of classes and finals week.
Whether you spend it crying in the library, crying in the student union, or crying in the comforts of your dorm room, it feels like nothing can make you feel better. In midst of all the stress, I turned to one thing that always makes me feel better. That is the "Hamilton" soundtrack.
While I was jamming to the genius Lin Manuel Miranda, I realized many songs off the soundtrack can apply to finals weeks almost as well as the creation of our country’s economic system.
1. "One Last Time"
2. "My Shot"
3. "It's Quiet Uptown"
When you have papers, presentations and early finals all on the same day and you feel as if your world is falling apart. "There are moments when you're in so deep. It feels easier to just swim down."
4. "Wait for It"
5. "Blow Them All Away"
6. "Helpless"
Seeing the first questions on the final. You're "helpless" and you're "down for the count."
7. "Stay Alive"
8. "You'll Be Back"
The University Presidents after we say we are dropping out of college. They're right. Who are we kidding? "We'll be back, soon you'll see."
9. "What Comes Next?"
Seniors walking out of your last final. "You're on your own. Wow. Do you have a clue what happens now"?
