15 Times Corgis Proved They Were the Key to Everyone's Happiness

Obviously, I'm obsessed with corgis. You should probably be too.

15 Times Corgis Proved They Were the Key to Everyone's Happiness

Is it bad that I’ve memorized all these videos/knew exactly what to look for when writing this?

1. When a corgi in a life vest did a belly flop.

Do I even need to elaborate on this one? It’s pretty much the most hilarious Corgi video anyone has ever watched ever (from a purely objective standpoint, of course). Whenever I feel sad, I watch this Corgi, and it makes me very, very happy.

2. When a corgi puppy got really confused by its reflection.

Don't you just want to cuddle it? And explain how mirrors work? I love this one because it's all about the wonders of life . . . also because the puppy is really cute.

3. When a corgi hopped down the stairs.

Literally, he just hops. I'm not sure why this one is so funny, but it's so funny.

4. When a corgi danced in time and actually followed the song.

First off, this guy clearly has an innate sense of rhythm. Second, he actually turns around when the song tells him to! I like to think it was intentional. That would make me even happier.

5. When a corgi could not contain his guilt.

"Uh-oh . . . I think he knows. Oh, he definitely knows. He's coming up. He's coming up now, quick, uh . . . act sick! Okay, I'm looking real pathetic now, hopefully this works . . . nope, he's still going on . . . oh dear, I don't think this is working . . . alright, abort mission, just leave!"

6. When a corgi adventured in a snow tunnel.

This one isn't as laugh-out-loud hilarious, but it still makes me smile to watch this little dog explore this whole new world of snow and tunnels. I imagine it was thinking something like, "Huh, what's this? Okay, I guess I'll check it out! Well that was kind of cool . . . oh, I guess he wants me to go in again . . . no, actually, I don't really want to do this again, it's a little cold . . ."

7. When a corgi just couldn't handle the mystery that is a mini pumpkin.

This little guy is so baffled by that mini pumpkin. Maybe because it doesn't move? It's probably another one of those new-to-life wonders.

8. When a corgi was forced into a bath it clearly didn't desire.

Just look at that face. "Please, why? I've been good this week . . . I haven't even shed that much . . . I'm not even dirty! Just have a little pity? A little?" I can relate, buddy. You speak to the experience of us all.

9. When a corgi just went on an all-out sprint.

The feeling of an adorable puppy running at you can't quite be replicated. You feel so special, so loved: they're running that fast just to reach me?

Until, that is, they run past you.

10. When a corgi, again, launched itself into water.

This corgi is a little more experienced than the life vest, belly flop corgi (although not quite as cute), and I love its exuberance and joy in leaping into the pool. I also love the fact that it thoroughly shakes itself off before immediately deciding to jump back in.

11. When a corgi, again, hopped down the stairs.

This puppy is much more timid than the previous stair-hopping corgi. I just think it's so cute when it finally figures out how to tackle these two steps; at the bottom, it's like, "Okay, I did it, I'm out!"

12. When a corgi received a vacuum massage.

I don't really have words for this one. I've never seen a corgi receive a vacuum massage. It made me really happy.

13. When a corgi just wanted to be friends with a cat.

That cat is not having it. I feel like the song in the background just makes the whole thing even more precious.

14. When a corgi did not quite grasp a particular door.

I just think it's so cute how it keeps doing the same thing; it does what it knows, and that's it. That's alright, bud. You do you.

15. When a bunch of corgis gathered for a corgi beach day.

A beach day dedicated entirely to corgis? Sign me up, please.

So, basically, corgis are just little happiness machines. Need I say more? I don't think so.

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

Students walking on a sunny college campus with trees and buildings.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
