Eight might just be a random number to most of you, but my niece is 8 years old now!! I honestly cannot believe it. She's growing up way too fast. I feel like I blinked and she was no longer a baby anymore. We have made so many amazing memories together over these last 8 years. So to celebrate, well not fully celebrate but kind of celebrate, here's 8 of my favorite most recent memories that I've had with my niece.

1. Pumpkin picking and painting.

The sun was in her eyes so she kept looking away from me, but she's still the cutest thing ever.

2. A trip to our local zoo.

Everyone from RI knows and has a picture with the dog statue.

4. A trip to a zoo in Boston.

Okay, but check out that Peacock.

4. One of many movie dates.

I took my niece to see "The Incredibles 2" and "Hotel Transylvania 3", this summer and we have a bunch more movies to see when they come out.

5. Monster mini golf.

Although, in the picture we were clearing killing the games lol.

6. Baseball games.

Fun fact: She plays baseball.

7. Raspberry and blueberry picking.

I missed peaches and apples for the first time ever this year, but raspberries were something new.

8. Drawing with side walk chalk at home.

It's nothing special, but when I was her age I LOVED chalk. It was nice to see that she didn't have a tablet or a phone shoved in her face, like other kids her age.

After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

You tried your best to avoid it, but that one statistics class that you need to take in order to graduate was only offered at 9 AM. Sound familiar? Now it's a daily struggle to make it on time, but everyone has those days where they just...don't. If that sounds relatable, then you may have experienced some (or all) of these thoughts.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
