There is only one thing that I look forward to seeing every day, and that is Steve Harvey on Family Feud. I have been watching Family Feud for four years at this point, but I have watched more than two hundred episodes in that time. Many more episodes are saved on my DVR at the moment.
Some people might call it an obsession. Those people have never watched Family Feud. Those people don't know the power, charisma and charm of the show's host, Steve Harvey.
Steve Harvey is the greatest thing about the show. He may also be the greatest thing about the planet as well. He's so funny that I have thrown up a couple of times mid-feud. I wish that I could grow a mustache like that. If I could meet him right now, I would ask him whether he dyes it or not. I have a running theory that he does because there is no way there could be something as perfect as that. I have modeled my own look after him, but, again, I can't grow a mustache so I just have a completely hairless head and wear a suit every place I go. I also fake my mustache by using some shoe polish instead. My head might be cold at times, but it is well worth it to be like Steve Harvey
Along with introducing me to possibly the greatest human being to ever live, Family Feud has caused me to readjust my thinking. Many people consider Jeopardy to be the thinking man's game show. These people have also not seen Family Feud. Family Feud requires people to think deeply, not only about the objective but the subjective. To get the answers on Family Feud, you need to think like the person taking the survey. What would they say to "Name something a woman pretends to like when trying to catch a man," or "On a scale of one to ten how attractive are you?" You can't just think about what you would think, but what other people would think, too. What would you say if you were a person that actually had a job or a parent? I feel that I know a lot more about psychology now after watching Family Feud because it is truly a look at the unconscious mind of
Watching Family Feud has made me closer to my family. Seeing those families up there reminds me that I have grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts and cousins too. Occasionally, I am so moved by the crazy answer that some grandpa gives that I call my own.
Overall, Family Feud has improved my life as well as the lives of many other people too. I'm sure.
