Good afternoon significant other. Such a lovely day it is, wouldn't you agree? Oh wait, what's that? You haven't looked out the window today? And why would that be? Is it because you can't stop playing the new "Fallout 4" game? What's that? You didn't hear a word I just said did you? No.
A recent development... no... a recent plague has been spread upon us. The video game: "Fallout 4." While it's impeccable graphics and phenomenal play through is beyond impressive, those who play this game may find themselves forever sucked into a post-nuclear war environment. Sure it has the greatest RPGs known to the video game world, but I must permit myself from supporting this beautifully designed game. I must support the ladies in this battle: conversation versus "Fallout 4."
I am sure some of you wonder how I know so much about this game. Well, I have experienced the gameplay. I know all too well how this much epic material can destroy those who crave the RPG aspect. My significant other purchased the game the day it came out, ever since then "Fallout 4" has dictated the world I live in.
Ladies, for those of you who have men in your life that are obsessed with their PlayStation 4 or their Xbox One, don't fret -- I feel your pain. For too long, we have been ignored due to the constant gameplay, DLCs and expensive accessories that plague our significant other's. Conversations have become dead to the generation of flourishing relationships. Have you found yourself talking for 45 minutes and realizing you were really talking to yourself? I have. I have for the past week and a half. The struggle has been all too real for those who are involved.
So how do we stop this ever growing phenomenon? We cannot. We shall forever have video games in our lives. But we can find a solution to this. One, we can just push through it. Or, two, we can become the video game. If you push through it, you will probably find yourself staring into a terrible James Joyce novel questioning every life decision you have ever made.
Becoming the video game is more of a compromising solution than the first. If you become one with the game, you become one with the relationship. You become closer to your beloved by taking an interest in what he is interested in. While your knowledge gains, your conversations will grow. While your conversations will become strictly "Fallout 4" based, at least you will be talking.
So remember this, ladies: if you make this effort and it is successful you will always have the greatest amount of leverage. Once you show your interest in this game, he will have no choice but the submit to your interest in spending his entire check on Victoria Secret and Bath & Body Works.
