Fall fashion features everything from western to plaid. Continue reading to learn the hottest trends for the season!
Plaid
Whether it be jumpsuits, pants, bodysuits, etc. plaid is making a comeback. Grab a scrunchie and revolutionize that 80s look!
Statement belt buckles
You've all seen people in Gucci belts...well, they're trendsetters! Statement belt buckles are making a comeback and can bring a sense of style to a simple, polished look.
Platform sneakers
Platform sandals were all the rage this summer, and there were numerous pairs of shoes I bought that I shouldn't have. Platform sneakers add the height that heels do but in a comfy way so that you can dance the night away or wear some extra-long flare jeans!
Animal print
Animal print is showing up on everywhere — shirts, shoes, pants, everything. Make sure to incorporate a little bit of animal print here and there to stay trendy!
Statement coats
This trend came in slightly last year with fur and faux fur, but this year printed coats/fur coats are expected to make a big appearance! Watch out for crazy colors too, they'll be making a debut as well!
Ruffles
Ruffles on sleeves, pants, etc. are making a big comeback this year! Ditch the idea that ruffles are for 6-year-olds... when done correctly, they can look posh and chic!
Flare sleeves
Flare sleeves are making a big comeback! They're fun and can add a little spunk to a normal outfit. Look for neutral sweaters with interesting sleeve cuts the next time you're perusing Forever 21.
Leather.
Whether it be jackets, pants or shoes, leather is a timeless classic that never goes out of style. Look for unique colors and cuts, especially in jackets.
Western
While I normally am not a fan of trends like this, occasionally I see pieces done tastefully that I admire. Studded ankle booties, for example, are a cute and fun way to bring this trend into your everyday life if you're not a country fan.
Red
Red is the color of fall — maroon, burgundy, firetruck red — all of the above are trending currently. Forget the little black dress (just kidding, don't do this), little red dresses are the look of the season!
