With fall approaching, that means there's this urge we all have to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather before it starts to change again. So, I have compiled a list of a few things everyone in New England could look into in order to enjoy the fall season!

1. Pumpkin Picking

I just think that nothing else screams fall besides pumpkin picking! I love picking out the little baby pumpkins because they look so cute, or the big ones and carving them out to hold some candles and putting them on my doorstep.

2. Apple Picking

Again, the perfect place for this is New England because it's the perfect place for apples! Plus, there are so many different kinds here, and it's all so fresh and clean. You can literally spend a day apple picking, having spiked cider, and apple cider donuts.

3. Hay Rides

Hay Rides are always so fun. They take you around the prettiest landscaped areas and with the leaves beginning to change, it's a gorgeous sight to see. It's also super romantic! Whether with friends or a significant other, you'll guaranteed to have a blast.

4. Hiking

I find for me that this is the perfect weather to go hiking and exploring outside. It's the perfect temperature. I find it super easy to breathe, since I have asthma. Unlike during summer, where it's sticky and humid, or winter where the wind and freezing cold air makes it hard to breathe.

5. Baking

You have to bake all the pumpkins and apples you picked, obviously. No one can just eat all those apples! The smell of vanilla and apple pie is what brings me back to fall.

6. Shopping

The best part for me is the shopping and dressing up with cute outfits, because the weather is perfect for layering, and it's not too wet or snowy yet. I love bringing out my collection of scarves and sweaters!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
