10 Fall Decorations Under $30 So Cute You'll Want To Keep Them Through The New Year

Fall is my favorite season. The leaves turn a beautiful color and the mornings are cool. I'm not a huge fan of decorating for each season, but I LOVE decorating for the fall. Here are some of the best items I've found from shopping around for my own space that'll make your apartment or dorm room feel super cozy in the colder weather.

1. "Hello Fall" pillow from Kirkland's

A cute and simple pillow for fall. It also has a cute white and black plaid design on the back.

2. Reversible "Hello Fall" and "Merry Christmas" sign from Amazon

These kinds of decorations are my favorite because they can be used for more than one occasion. Once December hits, just flip this sign over and you're golden!

3. Cute ceramic pumpkins from Kirkland's

These are so cute and perfect for placing around your home. You can place these on the dining table, fireplace, or around the TV stand just to add a little fall feeling!

4. A Fall, doggy doormat from Pier1

I thought this doormat was adorable. Just a few simple dogs enjoying fall.

5. A simple, fall sign from at home

I love this sign because it's simple, small, and I love the saying. Most signs say something about pumpkin spice, but I just can't jump on that pumpkin spice train. I am 100 percent a cider girl in the fall.

6. Unique, felt wreath from Target

I'm not a huge fan of wreaths in the fall, but this one IS ADORABLE. Target never fails with their cute and modern decor!

7. Little fall gnome holding a sunflower from Hobby Lobby

This little gnome is a great small decoration for fall. There's something about him that just makes me smile!

8. Cozy, fall colored blanket from Amazon

Lay a fall colored blanket on the couch and voila - you have yourself a fall decoration! It's super cozy, too!

9. A bowl or basket of REAL apples from a local store

A small bowl of apples sitting on your counter is a simple and easy fall decoration. Plus, you can eat them too!

10. REAL pumpkins from a local store

If you want easy fall decor that you can just throw out later, buy some real pumpkins! They're easy to find and usually inexpensive too!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
