Fall 2019 Madewell Must-Haves

October is nearly over and I've done my fair share of fall shopping as the leaves have begun to change. As I've been learning more about sustainable shopping and how to decrease our carbon footprint, I've learned so much about brands that are in the business of sustainability, and Madewell is one of my favorites.

Fall 2019 Madewell Must-Haves

Madewell has committed to "do well" and their commitment to sustainability is just a small part of this. I love what they're all about and their fall collection is no different. Check out a few of my favorite pieces and click the link below to read more about what Madewell is doing to make a difference.

Madewell - Do Well

1. Brockton Bubble Sweater in Coziest Yarn

Pom pom sweaters are on trend this season and this one has to be one of my favs. It's simple and classy but sooo cozy! Would definitely pair this with a pair of corduroys and sneakers.

2. Stovepipe Jeans in Lunar Wash: Button-Front Edition

These "Stovepipe" jeans bring back the classic skinny cut with a little bit of a flare. I love the fit of these jeans and think they go with just about anything!

3. Pom Pom Beanie

Anything lilac has been all the rage this season and this beanie is no different! It ties together so many fun fall colors into a comfy, cozy beanie that you could mix and match with just about anything.

4. Medium Transport Tote in Nubuck Leather: Striped Strap Edition

I have always loved Madewell bags and I especially love the olive green tone of this tote. The striped strap is a limited edition and comes with an alternate solid colored strap so you can switch out the strap for two different looks!

5. Sidewalk Low-Top Sneakers in Suede & Sherpa

Madewell is calling this sneaker color "equestrian brown" but I think it's more of a burnt orange. Either way, I love the low top sneaker look and think it pairs well with any fall look!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
