The Fab and Drab of The 2017 Golden Globes

At one of the most anticipated award ceremonies of all time, celebrities will be decked out in head-to-toe jewels, gowns, beauty, and swagger. Some looked stunning, while others missed the mark a bit. *drum roll please* Here are the fab and drab looks from the Golden Globes.

Fab:

Elsa Pataky, wife of Chris Hemsworth, looks AMAZING in this floral sheer studded dress...and obviously Chris looks dapper and sexy, as per usual.

Priyanka Chopra LITERALLY looks like a golden goddess in this GORGEOUS dress. Her lip color is on point and THAT NECKLACE.

As per usual, Lily Collins looks absolutely breath-taking in this pink floral lace. I'm definitely getting some snow white vibes.

This pink gown, worn by Lola Kirke, is embroidered with purple and white flowers is a masterpiece. I have never said or thought this before, but I want that dress as a phone background and maybe even a poster for my apartment.

I have no idea who these girls are, but they are definitely a crew I would not want to mess with. Those gorgeous black and simple dresses with statement necklaces is a perfect look for any fancy occasions. I also can't tell if they are all sisters, or the one on the right is the mom. Anyways, this chic posse includes Sistine, Scarlet and Sophia Stallone.

I have never seen Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell kill it like they did on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. Dax looks so handsome, and Kristen...like WOW. That plunge like is so scandalous but sophisticated at the same time. HOW DO YOU DO IT?!

YES YES YES YES YES. One of my favorite celebrity couples of all time. Just all around, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel look amazing. That dress is gorgeous, and the cut of the dress is so flattering. Although it is reveal, she can pull it off with flying colors. How does she make everything look so elegant? And JUSTIN. You look fine as per usual. Really liking the beard man, looks great. Also, I usually hate mixing gray and black, but he totally rocks it. Keep being awesome you guys.

Drab:

I am so sorry Michelle Williams, but you look like a doily that my grandma wears going into temple. Or better yet, the ones you put under cakes and cookies.

I get it Janelle Monae, you like to dress "out of the box." Everyone knows you are everything but basic, but this dress is just too much. You look like a dalmatian. Also, that dress cut is so 2014. Just.....no.

This dress was so close to being beautiful, If only those hideous ladybug wings got cut off, this dress would have made the fab list. But, the peplum look is very 2016. Honestly, the white lace and sweetheart cut is gorgeous, but that extra fabric is just atrocious. Try again Praya Lundberg.

Looking at this dress, I had to squint my eyes a little. It looks like Karrueche Tran is attending a 2009 Prom rather than the 2017 Golden Globes. The mermaid style is very old school and that color is a huge no no.

It saddens me deeply to have to put Emily Ratajkowski on the drab list, but she literally looks like a slutty Belle. I am almost positive I can see part of her woo-ha. The dress looks cheap and tacky, and is just too much for my liking. We get that your sexy and a supermodel, but you don't have to show off your whole body all the time.

I am just very confused with this outfit. It looks like pajama pants with a sports jacket on top. This is way too casual for the golden globes. Better luck next time Jill Soloway.

Sorry Zadie Beetz, but you did not make the cut this year. Although vintage is always in, I don't think Victorian era dresses will ever come back. Also, I can't tell if it is intentional, but that side boob is anything but graceful.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
