Most girls know the amazing feeling of wearing large t-shirts and Nike shorts. You know the comfortable feeling that we get when we are wearing it.
I noticed a post on Facebook a few weeks ago, a girl had on a large shirt and a pair of Nike shorts. Someone had asked her if she even had shorts on. That same person had told her that she looked trashy.
So I’ll start by saying just because we wear big t-shirts and Nike shorts doesn’t make us trashy or “not raised right”.
Have you ever not felt good and just throw on some clothes? Did you wear jeans and a nice shirt or did you dress comfortable, however, that might be? Just because we don’t dress up doesn’t mean we don’t feel good, or we are trashy. We put on clothes that we are comfortable in, and we shouldn’t be judged because of it. I think if someone was to not wear pants, they need to check themselves.
1. Guys sit around and say that “it’s not appealing to them”.
Newsflash, we aren’t trying to impress you. We are being ourselves, and if you can’t accept us then it’s your loss.
2. We don’t have time to worry about what we look like.
We want to make something of ourselves. While we are working on studying for our future careers, we want to be comfortable.
3. It’s a sign that it’s not all about you.
Like I said before, women, including me, want to make something of themselves. I want to be a Pharmacist, and that means SIX to SEVEN YEARS of school!! I don’t have time to worry about dressing cute for guys because my goal is to get into pharmacy school. I’m going to dress however I want to.
4. Big shirts and Nike shorts won’t last forever.
Whenever we get real jobs, a dress code will be required, so wear whatever is comfortable to you.
5. It's not expensive.
You can go to the dollar store to get a simple and plain shirt that you feel comfortable in. You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on one nice outfit. Instead, you can buy several of those comfy shirts.
I notice it more from college girls. I know that I’ll be going to my classes in a large shirt and Nike shorts, and I’m not ashamed of that. I want to be comfortable, and I’m going to.
