Dear every voter out there,

Tuesday night was the day we had all been waiting for. Election day. Millions of citizens went into voting booths and voted for their candidate. Electoral votes were applied to determine our President and late Tuesday night, we had one winner: Trump. I can sit here and bash Trump or Hillary and support my viewpoint, but I am not doing that today. Today I am talking about what comes next. Whether joy or fear of these next four years, its time we come together and figure out what is next. Because let me tell you, bashing your family member, or friend, or even country, isn't going to fix our problems.

Complaining isn't going to fix our problems. WE fix the problems. WE decide what is going to happen. And I'm not here to fight with anyone who believes otherwise, because I don't know what is going to happen these next four years. But I know we have created progress, I know we have changed the minds of many, and I know we have great people changing lives. So it's time we stand up together and fight for what WE believe in. There's no need for hate or banter toward others because that won't fix anything. If you have time to disrespect someone for their viewpoint, you might as well hear out their reason before. It might actually open your eyes to their true understanding of why they voted for a certain candidate.

Learning and growing is your best strength, and being fixed on a problem that you won't even stand up to fight for, shouldn't be your only reason to be against someone. Take the initiative. Take that action. Or decide what you want out of these four years because let me tell you, nothing was handed from the beginning. Laws didn't change because everyone sat around and hoped for the best. They fought for what they believed in. So today I ask you, what's next? With whatever candidate you chose, make sure that you respect everyones decision even if it might not be the same as yours. You can either be bitter or you can be better, and today I hope YOU choose to be better.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
