I know it's Spring break, but if you're anything like me, there's things you've been putting off throughout the semester/quarter that you told yourself you would do on Spring break...and now it's here, or maybe for some of you, it has already passed and now your setting a new deadline. Stop putting them off, it's only causing more daily, prolonged stress when it could've been done. Here are 5 things you should check off your list this break:

1. Taxes

Perfect time to get this knocked out as the deadline approaches. Plus, I'm sure you'll enjoy your tax return.

2. Spring cleaning

It's so hard for me to stay organized during the quarter, so I told myself I would do a deep cleaning over spring break. Use this time to reorganize and declutter before classes start back up again!

3. Applications

It takes me a little while to complete job/internship applications if I really want the position. Use this time to clean up your resume and cover letter, and apply for some jobs/internships that you've been looking at, but just haven't had the time to complete yet.

4. Check-up appointments

Whether it's a doctors visit, eye exam or teeth cleaning, I'm sure your behind on at least one of them. Don't forget to take care of yourself!

5. Treat yourself

Last, but definitely not least, take yourself out! Maybe you can use some of the extra cash from your tax return (perk of getting those done). Whatever this means to you, do it!

Spring break always flies by so quickly. Don't let it get past you without doing some of the things you've told yourself were reserved for break.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
