For the last decade, the English Premier League has been widely considered the greatest soccer league in the world. In the 1990s, Italy’s Serie A held that honor. In the 2000s, it was the turn of Spain’s La Liga. But from around 2010 onward - and perhaps even sooner than that - there can be no disputing that the Premier League sits at the head of the table when it comes to competitive soccer leagues. Manchester City are the current reigning champions of the English top flight after winning last year's title in dramatic fashion, coming from 2-0 down in their final match of the campaign to defeat Aston Villa 3-2 and rip the trophy away from rivals Liverpool. Oddschecker, which provides betting and free offers on the Premier League, has made Pep Guardiola’s Blues the favorites to retain their crown this term.
But what of the other teams? Well, there are 19 other clubs in the division, all from different cities and backgrounds with different cultures and fan bases. So who should you support? If you were located in England, it would be frowned upon if you didn’t support your local team. The tiny island nation has a whopping 92 clubs in its football league system, a stark contrast to American sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA, and MLS. Don’t worry though, we won’t suggest that you support teams such as Doncaster Rovers and Northampton Town from the fourth tier.

Manchester City - The Glory Supporter
As mentioned previously, Manchester City are the current reigning champions, and with their new signing - superstar striker Erling Haaland - they will take some beating this season. They have won the Premier League in four of the previous five seasons, primarily playing without a striker. Now they have Norwegian powerhouse Haaland up top, they are odds on favorites to make it five in six.
But it’s not just the trophies that City pile up which make them the perfect team for any glory supporter. They are owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his City Football Group. Sheikh Mansour and his family are the rulers of the United Arab Emirates which means that his beloved Blues have an endless pot of oil money awaiting them should they need to strengthen their squad.
As well as that, they are also managed by perhaps the greatest of his generation, Pep Guardiola. The Spanish manager created arguably the best team in history between 2009-2012, Barcelona. He led the Catalonians to two UEFA Champions League crowns in three seasons, playing some sublime football along the way.
Arsenal - The Hipster
Prior to 2005, Arsenal - alongside Manchester United - were one of the most successful clubs in the history of English football. Since they built the 60,000-capacity Emirates Stadium back in 2006 however, they haven’t been able to return to their glory years. 18 years on from their last Premier League triumph, however, the Gunners are back and sitting at the top of the pile.

The North London club have made an incredible start to the new season, winning all but one game and sitting one point ahead of Manchester City at the division's summit. The reason why Arsenal are the perfect pick for any sporting hipster is thanks to their squad.
The Gunners have the youngest squad in the Premier League by some distance and they have bucket loads of young English talent spurring them on. Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, center-back Ben White and winger Bukayo Saka are all aged 24 or under and have been crucial to the Gunners’ resurgence. With your support, can they push Manchester City all the way?
Chelsea - The Proud American
If you fly the famous stars and stripes way up high, then there is only one team for you - Chelsea. Which proud American wouldn’t want to support a team containing Captain America himself? We are of course talking about superstar winger Christian Pulisic. The Pennsylvania native is the proud captain of the United States national team and regularly features in the Blue of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
To add to that, the club is owned by American businessman Todd Boehly. What more could a proud American want?
