With four more weeks of school, and summer just around the corner, it is painful to stay motivated. That feeling of not wanting to go to class, and just watch Netflix instead, is often referred to as the "end of school year slump" and it is very real.
1. You are becoming less motivated to go to class.
What started with one or two skipped classes, has turned into an every other day occurrence.
2. You believe it is unnecessary to go to class because you have good grades.
The struggle is real when your success becomes your excuse.
3. Netflix is becoming more and more entertaining (if that's even possible).
4. Sleep is also really great.
Trust me, you will not wake up for class after staying out late.
5. You procrastinate the really important things that you need to do.
Why do it today when you can do it tomorrow?
6. Spring break becomes a cruel tease.
Nine days without school or work may seem great until you realize you have to go back to school.
7. Summer is so close, and yet so far.
While five weeks may seem like a short amount of time, there are still so many things that you have to complete before summer comes around.
8. You calculate how badly your grades will suffer if you don't do an assignment.
And then do the assignment anyways when you find out your grade will suffer a lot.
9. Lastly, you know deep down that one day you will actually miss going to school.
Too bad you just don't feel that way right now.
So if you are going through the end of school year slump, try your best to stay motivated, and to enjoy the rest of the school year while you still can. If you can't do that, then just don't let your grades slip too badly, and remember that summer is approaching, and you will be able to sit at the pool really soon.
