I've compiled a list of 10 verses I wanted to share with others who are struggling to know God better.

1. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

This has always been one of my favorites. It reminds me to trust in God's plan and His perfect timing.

2. Romans 8:31 "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

We need to remember that God is on our side.

3. Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

This is so important. I am a person who is big on forgiveness because God forgives us every single day. We should be able to forgive other imperfect humans.

4. Luke 6:31 "And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them."

Everyone knows the golden rule, but I think a lot of people take it too lightly. God is serious when he says to treat others as you want to be treated.

5. Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice."

Ah yes. Rejoicing. We must remember to thank God for all that he has done for us. Praise him for his gracious works.

6. Romans 12:12 "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."

I like this verse because it is so truthful. If you do these things your life will get so much better.

7. Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

I suffer from anxiety, so this is a good reminder that God is protecting me at all times. He gives us strength and the amour of his love to shield us.

8. Psalms 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Everyone experiences brokenness at different points in their lives. If we turn to God, healing will come.

9. Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, a I will give you rest."

Sometimes I get so overwhelmed with school that I just need to sit and rest in God. He will restore your energy and motivation.

10. 1 Chronicles 16:34 "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!"

The Lord is SO good. Take a look at your life and make a list of all the good things God has given you because He loves you. His love will never end.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
