The Empire Project Takeover

“I gotta wonder was it God or fate, that dropped me in the Garden State?”

The Empire Project

Try to find a state with more pride than Jersey, I’ll wait. Actually, I won’t wait, because it’s impossible and The Empire Project has proven that with their new single, “Garden State of Mind.” This fresh, new, hip hop duo has transformed typical stereotypes associated with Jersey like Wawa and Pork roll, and added a catchy beat to create something incredible, that’s hard not to sing along too.

The Empire Project wasn’t always known as The Empire Project, yet they’ve stuck together since they were kids. When their pop punk band fell apart, Neeks and Kyle didn’t give up, they came together and transformed their music into an outlet to escape. They took their friendship, incorporated it with their own thoughts, and produced songs that let their personalities shine through. In the dynamic duo, Kyle is the behind the scenes mastermind on the drums. While, Neeks is the center stage vocalist and rapper. Yet, neither are letting the fame get to their heads. Their staying true to their roots, and their whole purpose for going public.

The duo is new to the music making game, but that hasn’t stopped them from going after their dreams. Their 2016 album, Infin8ty features hits like “Supernova”, “Rumble”, “How to Steal Like an Artist”, and “No Fairytales” which give them a great platform to make themselves known to the world. Right now, the boys from Cliffwood Beach, NJ are just trying to get their names recognized but that won’t be hard because on May 11th, 2017, The Empire Project will be opening up for Tech N9ne at Starland Ballroom. It might just be an opening gig, but everyone starts somewhere, and it’s those that are crazy enough to believe they can make it, that will.

Life is about making the most out of opportunity, and that’s exactly what this group is doing. They’re chasing their dreams, and reppin’ their home state in the making. We only get one life, one chance to do something great. So go on, click the link; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yosEFnhS3TI and watch the start of how this small-town duo from Jersey is going to make it big.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
