It's that time of year again, no I am not talking about Thanksgiving or Christmas time I am talking about FAFSA time. If you are like me you are expected to fill out the free application for federal student aid with little to no help from your parents and find it to be stressful with a capital "S," then this article is a cheer to us. I have put together all of the gifs that perfectly describe how my emotions change throughout this dreadful process.
I start out all happy thinking of all the free money I could potentially get. I am hopeful, optimistic and most of all, naive.
Then my emotions take a turn towards confusion. "What was my password again? What email did I use? Ah, yes, change password. What are the answers to my challenge questions again? Crap!"
Then you start to get a little irritated. Irritated at FAFSA, irritated at your parents for making you even more stressed than you already were by making you fill this out on your own, irritated at yourself for not remembering all this information.
Then you finally (after a few good minutes) get everything set and you are back to your optimistic self until....
You get to the tax information part. This part is the worst -- you have to be very tedious and make sure you don't mess up and if you are anything like me, we don't perform well under pressure. So you start getting more stressed by the minute, until you start looking a little something like this...
Then somehow that ugly crying turns into something like this....
And somehow after many many frustrating hours, you are finally done. And after you hit the submit button, you start to do something along the lines of...
You are finally done, you get the conformation email and you are feeling like a strong independent soul who don't need no help. And you close all the tabs and do a "pimp" walk if you will, that looks a little something like...
But in all seriousness, it is the most stressful time of the year.
