5 Songs That Bring Our Inner Skinny Jeans-Rocking, Black Lipstick-Wearing Emo Kid Back To Life

I am far too young to have a MySpace phase on record, but I did go through my 'emo' phase like a lot of my friends. When I was in 8th grade, I tried everything to fit that look; The tight skinny jeans, the black lipstick, the eyeliner and of course, I had to have a tee shirt from all of my favorite bands.

However, eighth grade came to an end. Everyone seemed to have "normalized" by then but I'm always going to be listening to the same Fall Out Boy album to myself.

If one were to look into my music library you would see all of the music I listened to in 8th grade. That's because I always love to listen to songs that bring out the inner emo kid in me.

1. Sugar We're Going Down by Fall Out Boy

Fun fact – I didn't know what Patrick Stump was singing in this song well until my senior year of high school, oops!

2. Helena (So Long and Goodnight) by My Chemical Romance

In ninth grade, I was tempted to be the dead girl dancing in this video for Halloween. But I knew for sure my parents would have said no.

3. I Write Sins Not Tragedies by Panic! At The Disco

"I love you..." "I love you too..."

4. Misery Business by Paramore

Fun fact: I got to see the band perform this song live before they retired it.

R.I.P Misery Business

5. Bring Me Back To Life by Evanescence

This song scared me to death as a kid. But still, I will jam out to my friends with this song.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
