Elon Musk is widely known for being the founder of Tesla Motors. He also founded the Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (Space X). This corporation is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company, with the goal to minimize the cost of space transportation for the development of the colonization of Mars.
When discussing the colonization of Mars, we look into the certain factors that would take place. Establishing sustainable habitats with food production spaces, fuels and other energy sources for use of surface transportation, etc. Another factor is robotic precursors. It is suggested that robotic systems could prepare the path to human colonization on Mars. Wired systems might lay the groundwork for early crude landings and bases, by having a number of robotic cargo missions sent up, and to be undertaken first, in order to transport the requisite equipment, habitats, and supplies.
One of Musk's biggest fear is artificial intelligence. The fear of killer robots. He warns that artificial intelligence could be our biggest existential threat. In a recent interview he did, he exclaims, "There should be regulatory oversight at the national and international level."
Musk worries for what Larry Page, founder of Google, is working on at his company. He fears that Page and Google could build “a fleet of artificial-intelligence-enhanced robots capable of destroying mankind." Now Musk isn't some deluded technophobe. He is legitimately worried by telling us "The risk of something seriously dangerous happening is in the five year timeframe."
Along with Musk, known physicist Stephen Hawking and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates have also stewed about the threat that artificial intelligence can create. When three of the most intelligent people in the world are concerned about something, it is probably a good idea to be concerned about it yourself, or at least look into it in further detail.
It has clearly been shown that we as a human race are too advanced for our own good. We have gotten to the point where we will have created something that could possibly destroy us. The advancement of our technology could result in us being the first species to self extinct. Prepare to be living life like in the movie I, Robot. The time is coming, according to Elon Musk.
