8 Thoughts We Have While Online Shopping

Being broke is definitely one of the cons when it comes to being a college student. We basically live off of ramen because it's so cheap, and the Dollar Store has become our best friend. Also, when Target has its brand of food on sale, we all basically jump for joy. As the seasons change and the want and need for new clothes and accessories rolls around, we just can't help but to online shop. And boy, do we wish our bank accounts weren't so low.

1. Ugh, this is SO cute.

You know that sweater from Forever 21 would look bomb on you, and not to mention they have it in your favorite color. But it's so hard to plug your credit card number into the computer when you have literally $25 to your name.

2. I'm just gonna add this to my cart.

We all add items to our cart in hopes that they will magically appear on our doorstep two days later. But in reality, we let them sit in the cart all by themselves with no hope that they'll ever come home to us.

3. Okay, I've really overdone it this time: I have more than 30 items in my cart.

Okay, so maybe you went a little crazy with adding items to your cart because you now have more than $400 worth of stuff sitting there, but there's no harm in just looking and adding right? I mean come on, you're not actually buying anything.

4. But I NEED this.

You keep telling yourself you NEED that pair of brown lace-up boots, meanwhile you already have seven pairs shoved into the bottom of your closet. Take a look at your priorities! You could get seven meals from Mcdonald's for the same amount the boots cost.

5. Ugh, someone please take my computer away.

We've all been there. We all want what we can't have. We all get so frustrated that the items will forever be sitting there, and those boots will never grace your feet. But you see a glimmer of hope when you get an email saying your favorite store is having a sale for 50 percent off.

6. I still can't afford anything even with the sale!

It's a struggle when you see that bag you've been wanting for so long is finally on sale, but it's still out of your price range. Not only that, but then you realize the shipping is going to be crazy expensive. You think to yourself that you'd rather buy some Domino's pizza than spend your whole life savings.

7. I give up.

You begin to accept defeat. You realize you never were going to be able to buy anything anyway. "Browsing" just filled your void for the meantime. Until you get your next paycheck you know you won't be able to buy anything.

8. That's not going to stop me.

Nothing is going to stop you from online shopping. We all are addicted; it's completely okay. We all have to fill our guilty pleasures somehow!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
