Sarcasm: the "harshorbitterderisionorirony.

I cannot count the times I have heard that being sarcastic is mean, degrading or just utterly rude, but who doesn't love a person who speaks mindless sarcasm. I get this "gift" from my wonderful father who taught me that I should make fun of myself and yes, other people as long as they laughed along.

This gift is not just a blessing but is also a curse and here are the six reasons why:

1. If you don't think before you speak and accidentally splurge out your colorful sarcasm, you look like an asshole.

2.Have you ever met a person who doesn't like sarcasm? It's painful to have a conversation with them.

3. If you should dish it out you should be able to receive, right? In essence if you get your feelings hurt but you cannot say a single word because you're just as terrible.

4. Not coming back with a remark after a person just ruined you; but then someone saying, "Oh wow no smart ass reply." like okay uncle Johnny I don't always splurge out bullshit! Thank you Though?!

5. Being introduced as "The sarcastic one"

6. Not having your sarcasm show through text. This is the biggest struggle because you want it to come though so bad but it just doesn't.

7. Most people laugh at you because you make yourself look semi-stupid but it's okay because people are laughing at you.

8.Do you know how many friends you can make by being sarcastic?

So, let sarcasm live on and may you always have a good sense of humor.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
