Eight Best Friend Roles

A best friend is someone who does way more than Snapchat or text you occasionally, they basically hold your life together. They do this in many ways, but here a few of the roles that they might take on during the course of your friendship.

1. Photographer

Those awesome Instagrams will not take themselves, and you will need at least 10 different pictures until you find the perfect one to post. This is the one person who will gladly lay flat on the concrete for the right angle. They will keep snapping away until you find one that is "fire" to put up for all of your followers.

2. Personal Stylist

Their closet is your closet and your closet is their closet. They also know every piece of clothing that you own and will tell you exactly what you should wear without even needing to enter your closet. This is the friend that will sit with you as you sort through five different outfits, only to end up wearing the one they suggested in the first place.

3. Therapist

No one else wants to hear every single one of your problems from the small, everyday things to the life-changing ones. They are willing to let you vent, rant and rave and offer their advice when it is needed.

4. Life Coach

Everyone knows that girls are caddy, and sadly more often than not they are looking out for themselves before you or anyone else. This is someone away from home that you can count on to genuinely have your best interests at heart. They will motivate you to go to the gym, stay healthy and make good life decisions -- even when they aren't the fun or easy ones to make.

5. Comedian

Nothing can cheer you up faster than a ridiculous, inside joke that makes absolutely no sense to the outside world. Plus, they are probably one of few people who think that you are actually funny (clearly no one else knows what real humor is.)

6. Mom

They are the first one to stop you when you've had too much to drink and will let you know when you need to clean up your apartment. They actually care about your well-being and are prepared for you to be a little annoyed with them if it means that you're doing what's best for you. But, they are also willing to help you along the way -- whether it's grabbing you some food when you need to sober up or helping you do some laundry, they have your back.

7. Partner-in-crime

It's not all serious with them though, they are also the person you'll find yourself getting into mischief with. Whether it's shamelessly eating absurd amounts of drunk food, going for a night out on the town or taking a spontaneous road trip -- they have you covered.

8. Loaner

Whether it's clothes, money, the password to their Netflix, a car or a vacuum cleaner -- what's mine is yours is always in full effect. You both are ready to help each other in any way, so much so that you probably often times forget what actually belonged to you in the first place.

With someone being all of these things in your life, there's no wonder why you are always with them. They have become a vital part of your life and chances are there are very few times when you aren't together. So be sure to thank your best friends the next time that you see them (probably right now...) for all that they do for you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
