1. Midnight In Paris. This theme is perfect for those who are returning home from studying abroad and just cannot seem to leave the city behind. Also, the Woody Allen movie was adorable and definitely worth recreating. This theme requires street lamps, twinkling lights, a lot of delicious pastries, and an abundant coffee bar. For extra fun have it in an outdoor setting with lights strung overhead and have small cafe tables set around the venue. This theme est tres chic!

2. Into The Woods. This is what your childhood fairytales were made of. This theme requires trees with sparkling lights strung around them, wood stumps for tables and wooden benches, and moss hanging delicately around. For extra fun add a smoke machine to amp up the dancing!  

3. Mediterranean Dream. Make sure to clarify that this is not a toga party. Once that is established, you will want to include colorful sheets draped around the room, bohemian candle holders filled with treats, and colorful glass bottles to serve the water. Outfits are also awesome for this theme because it encourages bright and standout dresses with statement jewelry. Let's not forget about food -- chicken and vegetable kabobs, baklava, hummus, lamb skewers. It will be a formal worth dreaming about. 

4. Speak Easy. This prohibition theme tends toward the older (legal) members, but make sure to include creative mocktails for the underage crowd. The venue could be at a retro Jazz club or old fashioned bar. What girl doesn’t want an excuse to wear a flapper dress?  

5. Empire State Of Mind. Night time in New York with a high-end crowd. This theme celebrates everything that is admired about the New York lifestyle, but with some amplified glam. Include a red carpet to enter, a venue with a view of the city's skyline, and a photo shoot area to capture the night.  

6. Desert Nights. Stars are a must for this theme, so an outdoor venue is ideal, but even a tent with Moroccan decorations will suffice. Add pillows for seats, drapes hung around the venue, and a waterfall or fountain to replicate a desert oasis.  

7. Mad Men. Big hair and big makeup is always fun. The '60s mod simplicity is elegant and casual, making for a fun formal. It is also good excuse to buy white pearls and waist cinching dresses. Extra points if your date looks like Don Draper. The venue could be a '60s styled lounge with an expansive view of a city skyline.  

8. Off To Sea. Because we are all dying for the summer to come, what better way to celebrate that than wearing our best blue and white striped dresses. Your date might wear a captain's hat and grow a white beard! Decorations could include ship ropes and anchors. A fun venue would be a local aquarium or a non-cheesy nautical restaurant. Bonus points if you have a view of the ocean!
