From stuffed bagel breakfast sandwiches, to loaded fries, gooey garlic pizza bigger than your head, and full cereal sundae bars.. these places know how to keep it real.

I guess it would probably be easier to make a list of reasons you shouldn't go to a festival, because it would be a lot shorter. I find myself on the brink every time when I debate making a purchase as big as these. I'm money conscious, and it's relatable because nearly everyone in high school and college becomes pretty self-dependent (not to mention broke).

However, if you have the financial ability and the time, try it before you knock it. If you've gone, you'll understand exactly where I'm coming from.

The people, music, and atmosphere at electronic festivals is incomparable to any other event I've ever attended. I've never felt so much love radiate from a group of people, and I've never been somewhere that makes me feel so safe. The employees are easy going, the police officer's biggest concern is your wellbeing, and the venues are designed to bring you inner peace and happiness. Not to mention, I've met half of my closest friends through festivals.

Like I said, I can't think of many reasons not to go to an EDM festival. I hadn't listened to EDM music in my life before I attended my first one, but after my experiences, I find myself listening to it no matter my mood.

1. Good music???

Fair. There's not many places or songs that I would find myself feeling comfortable letting loose and dancing. Aside from EDM having one of the largest varieties of music styles, it's also some of the best dancing music around. Half of the songs you can throw your body around and not even worry about lyrics!! It's great.

2. You're feeling down about the world

Rachel Mount

It's hard to hold your head high when you're surrounded by so much negativity. It's impossible to escape, and even if you turn your back to it, you feel worse because that's not helping anyone.

3. The danks

Drugs!! Kidding, kidding. Actually, though, I'm talking about festival food. From stuffed bagel breakfast sandwiches to loaded fries, gooey garlic pizza bigger than your head, and full cereal sundae bars, these places know how to whip up some award-winning dishes.

4. You want to meet new people

EnoRachel Mount

I have yet to leave a festival or even go a whole day at the venue without meeting people I stay friends with from there on out. Whether it's at your campsite, in line, at a stage or just wandering around, there are so many different types of people out there that could end up being some of your best friends.

5. A short escape from reality

Running through a place basically created to let adults feel at ease, and like children again, makes your mind focus on the 'now' rather than the outside world. And luckily for you, the festival is the perfect place to let your mind wander and be free.

6. To reconnect with your inner child

CraftsRachel Mount

We all still have the little kid inside of us, and these types of events make it impossible to silence your child instincts any longer. Here, there are all kinds of things to draw and paint, play with color changing sand, workshops to find new skills, endless things to climb on and art to look at, as well as food you would have KILLED for at sleepovers.

7. Find new artists you would never have discovered

Rachel Mount

We all go to concerts and festivals with specific sets in mind, but an underrated part of wandering through venues is that sometimes you'll be attracted to a stage of an artist you weren't planning on seeing- and then they become one of your all-time favorites just because of a random pass by.

8. The outfits

Rachel Mount

I get so into choosing my outfits for festivals because there is absolutely no limit to what you can wear. People watching is at an all-time high, because there are some groups that come up with the craziest outfits, and it's great inspiration for the next one.

9. Totems lighting up the night

Rachel Mount

EDM festivals are truly unique in so many ways, and one of them is centered around totems. Every meme, saying, trend, and item is used on these - and they are carried around to show their love for whatever they want, and so that the group members can find their way back to their group when lost. It's the coolest thing ever.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
