Kindness is an act that does not take a lot out of us. Helping people, is all that many people live for no matter what. Because of kindness being such an enormous part of the community we live in, we came up with multiple effortless and easy community and neighborly acts of kindness.

1. Sitting next to someone who doesn’t have food? Share yours!

2. Compliment someone!

3. Open the doors for someone else or thank the person holding the door for you!

4. Not in a rush? Let someone go in front of you!

5. Pick up trash when no one else will.

6. Donate old clothes and toys.

7. Write a thank you note.

8. Tell someone how much you appreciate them.

9. Pay for someone's order at a drive thru.

10. Help make dinner.

11. Make a small sacrifice to make someone else happy.

12. Smile at a stranger.

13. Make a friend a playlist

14. Help a sibling with school work

15. Treat yourself to something nice.

16. Do some chores around the house

17. Motivate someone to do something they think they cannot .

18. Make little gift baskets for your friends, teachers, or neighbors

19. Donate to a charity or a non profit. Look at ones near you; it does not have to be with money.

20. Just listen to someone when they need to rant or just blow off steam

21. Plant a tree!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
