Halloween is fast approaching and that means it’s time to think seriously about the most important part of Halloween, the costume. Halloween, in my opinion, is the coolest holiday. You get to dress up in the craziest outfit and eat bucket of candy and everyone has an amazing time. But picking out costumes can be pretty stressful. Do you dress up with a group of friends? Do you do a pair costume with just one friend? Or do you go solo and have total creative freedom? If you want to go as the same old tired costume, that's fine. But if you want to shake things up and be a little more creative, here are some alternatives to the traditional Halloween costumes that are just as simple, but way more awesome.
1. Sia
This is a super simple costume. All you need is a short blonde wig and a nude leotard. I think this costume could be hilarious with a group of friends. And as we all saw on SNL last season, guys can definitely get in on the fun

We all saw Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein ad last spring. So guys, I think it’s time to give the ladies what they want. Grab your best pair of briefs, apply some temporary tattoo sleeves, and maybe throw on a white tank top (October can be cold). Also, this gives you a chance to do your best Bieber impression!
3. Elle Woods' Surprise Halloween Costume
Remember when Vivian tricked Elle into thinking her party was a costume party and she showed up dress like this? Well this Halloween you can pull an Elle Woods and go out in your cutest bunny costume with complete confidence. All you need is pink tights, a pink leotard, and some bunny ears. Because let’s face it, we all want to have an excuse to dress up as a bunny at least once.
4. Chaz Michael Michaels and Jimmy MacElroy
Blades of Glory is a timeless film that will transcend our generation. The two skaters wear many different costumes throughout the movie so there are a number to pick from. This costume also gives you the opportunity to get creative with sparkles. And who doesn’t love an excuse to ride around on roller skates and quote all the lines from the movie?

5. Orange is the New Black
Everyone knows the hit Netflix show Orange is the New Black. And lucky for you, this costume really only requires a pair of grey or orange scrubs. The great thing about this costume is that you can recreate it with as many friends as you would like. Also, bonus if Halloween is especially cold you can wear layers or a grey hoodie.

I'm wearing my brothers graduation gown, carrying a wooden crab hammer, and topping it off with a gold crown (probably from Berger King). Simple, easy, and so much fun.
