Liquid lipsticks was a huge phenomenon this past year — I mean, every makeup brand was coming out with a new liquid lipstick! Trying out all the different launches can be very overwhelming especially if you're new to the trend.
Here is what the perfect liquid lipstick should have: longevity, pigment, and be kiss-proof. I would say hydrating, but if you like matte liquid lipsticks then no true matte lipstick would be hydrating, just less drying, so let's go with, a liquid lipstick should also be comfortable on the lips. I have found that the drugstore has some pretty decent liquid lipsticks that I highly recommend.
Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme
I own seven out of the 10 shades! Yes, these are by far my favorite liquid lipsticks from the drugstore. The wear time is great, I can go four hours without touching up and having a full meal and the lipstick won't budge! I can't wait for more colors to launch because the pigment in these are absolutely stunning. The formula is mousey and the felt tip applicator will make it so easy to line your lips and get an even application. This gets a four out of four, longevity, pigment, kiss-proof and comfortable.
NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick
This is my favorite liquid lipstick line at the drugstore just for the color selection alone! Within this line there's a color for everyone! The NYX liquid Suede line is the Jeffree Star Cosmetics drugstore version, there's a blue shade, a black shade and many other unusual shades just like Jeffree's line but way cheaper! The formula is pretty decent for drugstore and it definitely lives up to the "suede" aspect of its name. The formula is creamy and highly pigmented, definitely recommend giving these a try!
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor
At first, I wasn't a big fan of this product. The product has such a strong scent I just couldn't get past it, but the formula was superb; non-drying and high pigmented. The packaging is very unique and very sleek. If you are someone who doesn't mind strong scent lip products then this might be your type of product for you. I will say, this is not matte liquid lipstick, despite the name of the product. It's more of a natural gloss finish which is pretty too but just not what the product claims to be. This product gets three out of four according to our standards. ( longevity, pigment, and comfortableness)
Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte
This is a fairly new launch from Wet N Wild and I can already tell that it deserves a spot on this list! I grabbed the last three shades that were left on the display at my nearest Walgreens and boy, did I wish I could've snagged all 13 shades because this formula is to die for! The packaging is very similar to Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipstick, without the pink and gold stars but the tube and wand is pretty much identical. The formula is not as buttery as Jeffree's but it is mousey and applies it evenly so pretty darn good if you ask me. This formula has everything longevity, pigment, and be kiss-proof. It's also very comfortable on the lips.
