Working in the shoe department has its perks and obviously cons. Being at work 90% of the week you learn about your product. I can literally look at any shoe and tell you if Greenwood Macys has had it since I've been there. I can tell you what brands we do and don't carry. I can tell you just by looking at a shoe if it's going to hold up for you. I can just look at a box and tell you the brand name. I can be off work and out in public and just look at someone's shoes and tell you the brand, the name and the price for them. Some people would say I have no life but I like to think that I take my job very serious.

1. Michael Kors

I personally think the brand is wayyyyy to over priced. Their material isn't even that great, honestly. I mean, come on, the only reason people even buy them is for that MK on it. You buy a $225 boot that has a TINY little MK on it and it will most likely last you four months or you can buy a $80 boot that looks ALMOST the same but it doesn't have the MK. All you are buying is that MK. From working at Macy's for a year now the most shoe brand I return is probably MK. I don't recommend.

2. Calvin Klein

Their shoes are actually okay. Good quality and reasonably priced. They have some really cute heels but I couldn't walk in them at all. Their boots though are probably my favorite but that price just ain't cute whatsoever. I hear nothing but good things about them from my customers. I do recommend.

3. Clarks

This brand is more for comfort than looks. It is more for older people who need that comfort. Don't get me wrong, they do have a few styles that I would wear. I have tried on a few pairs of them and they feel like you are walking on clouds literally. Clarks would probably be our top three best sellers. I never hear anything bad about them other than we need more colors. I do recommend.

4. Dirty Laundry

Yes, you read that right there is a shoe brand named dirty laundry. I'm not sure why someone would want their shoe brand with a name like that but hey it sells. Their shoes aren't that comfortable. It's more heels that are so high they reach the sky. If I'm buying shoes I would love for them to at least comfortable. I do not recommend.

5. Nine West

I absolutely love this brand. I have a few pairs of their shoes. Cute and affordable what else could a girl want? Other than wanting a new handbag of course. I do recommend.

6. Born/ B.O.C

Cute shoes but on the pricey side. I'm telling you though, THEY ARE TO DIE FOR. They are also one of our comfort brands which are a plus. I have a pair of boots I got last year and I wore them every day and they are still in such good shape. If you don't mind spending a little extra money on shoes that could last I do recommend.

7. 143 Girl/ Rampage

Cheap shoes that won't last long. They aren't that comfortable and cheaply made. If you just need a pair of shoes for one night and don't want to spend a lot them they are your go to. I personally am not a big fan even though I do have two pairs of combat boots from them I just wear them once in a blue moon but I have to wear an insole from finish line in them. I do not recommend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
