Because we could all use a little guidance in the world of fashion.

Fall fashion can be the greatest sight when walking around campus. On the other hand, it can also be a disaster. You would think putting together an outfit isn't very difficult, but oh yes it can be. Especially, when there are "rules" you must follow in the fashion world. So, do not worry for here are the top five do's and don't's this fall.

1. Layering

Do: Honestly, why would you not incorporate layering into your outfit? Especially, in this weather where your walk to your 8 a.m. class feels like we live in Antarctica and by the end of the day we magically live in the Death Valley (the hottest place on Earth). Besides helping you conquer the weather, layering is fun, fashionable, and makes you look like you put in more effort into your outfit than you really did.

Don't: I know it's getting colder and we would all just prefer to hide all those pumpkin spice lattes we have been drinking under layers of clothing, but don't. You do not want to look like Joey from "Friends."

2. Denim

Do: Denim is huge right now for fall, so take advantage! I would highly recommend to go and invest in some really cute denim jackets. Denim jackets compliment with anything and it's just the cherry on top to any outfit.

Don't: Just because denim is the hottest trend right now, it does not mean to go dress yourself from head to toe in it. Please, you wouldn't want to be mistaken for Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake back in 2001 at the 28th Annual American Music Awards.

3. Uggs

Do: You probably have heard at least someone say, "why are Uggs still a thing?" To answer that question, have you ever worn Uggs? They are like small clouds made just for your feet, so why wouldn't you wear them?! Uggs are great for when it is getting chilly outside and the laziness starts to kick in. So, go ahead and pull out your Uggs, but really try to wear them at least only once a week.

Don't: As much as you love your Uggs and own multiple pairs (guilty), do not wear them everyday.

4. Scarfs

Do: Not only do scarfs help you keep warm, they also make great accessories for this fall. So, next time you reach for your scarf remember to wear your hair up. This will help draw more attention to the shape of your face and believe me you'll have more range of motion for your head.

Don't: DO NOT WEAR YOUR HAIR DOWN! Trust me, wearing your hair down when wearing a scarf is not a pretty picture, nor comfortable (been there, done that, and never again). It takes away the shape of your face, your neck will be itchy, and don't get me started when you have to look over your shoulder... oh, wait, you can't because your hair is in the way.

5. Lips

Do: We live in a world where lips are the new trend (thank you, Kylie). So, this fall make your make-up's focal point your lips! Dark colors will do the job just right, as well as nudes and peachy colors.

Don't: If you're going with a dark shade on your lips, then put that black eyeliner and dark eye shadows down, darling. Do not take the attention away from your lips with unnecessary (bold) eye make-up. Just keep it simple, but effective.

So, what are you waiting for?! Go and own those campus sidewalks like never before.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
