Don't Hold Yourself Back With Them... Open That Door
Zannaland

Hello, this is probably going to be the most brutal thing you’re going to hear all day. Whether you’re feeling uncertain about a partner, love interest/crush, or even just a friend, you need to find out now if they are worth staying in your life.

I know this is going to be scary. What is the worst thing they will do? Probably break your heart. But you know what? It needs to happen. Because once you find out where they stand, it can only get better from here.

This is the key to your own freedom and happiness. Don’t be afraid to turn the key. If you don’t like what is through that door, there will be another door, this is not a dead end. Right now, you’re in Alice in Wonderland when Alice is trying to chase the White Rabbit, but she can’t open the door and is struggling to get the key.

Your anxiety is trying to delay you from acquiring the key. Some days you eat the magic mushroom that makes you grow tall enough to reach the key, but other days your anxiety hands you a bottle that says “Drink Me.” on it, which causes you to shrink. Therefore, you are far away from that key.

That’s all there is to it, you’re just nervous. You are the only one who is holding you back.

So let me give you a hand with that key.

For example, you’ve had the biggest crush on one person for a while, and you are not completely sure how they feel about you. And not knowing is going to lead you to a breaking point sooner or later. I am encouraging you to ask them how they feel.

Another example would be reconnecting with someone. You want to reach out to them, but you are afraid that they will not want to talk to you. The worst thing that can happen in this situation is that they leave you on read, that’s it. Take that leap now instead of continuously putting it off. The sooner you take the leap, the sooner you move on.

Remember: You are doing this for yourself. Because if you do end up getting hurt, you are free. It is a win-win in the end. Obviously, it won’t feel like that right away. But you get to move on, you won’t feel trapped anymore in the unknown.

Why am I making you do this? Because you deserve people in your life who make YOU happy. This is your life, so why are you torturing yourself with the unknown? Do it for your own happiness, do it for your future. Things may turn out fine with this person in your life, you never know. But just know, that either way it DOES get better from here. All you have to do is take that leap because sometimes you need to be that one to make a move. Don’t worry about what others think.

It can only get better from here. Keep repeating that to yourself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
