Since forever, many students have HATED Mondays, and I've never quite understood why. In high school, I definitely enjoyed Mondays. I always thought of them as the beginning of a week of brand new opportunities. Maybe it's the fact that after a relaxing, fun, and exciting weekend, you have to come down from cloud nine and get back to business. Work, school, or maybe a conversation or meeting you've been panicking about all weekend; it's all going to be coming soon.
No, Mondays aren't the same as the weekend, where you've been hanging out with friends, sleeping in, and just kicking it, but it is a time for you to buckle down and do what you need to do as a student, worker, or a functioning person.
Now, it may be hard, but I'm definitely challenging you all to make your next Monday a great one, and maybe a few tips here will help you to jump start your "I love the Mondays" movement:
1. Grab a bite to eat at your favorite restaurant - You'll have something to look forward to on that glorious Monday and a reason to treat yourself to a great meal.
2. Wake up to your favorite coffee - Monday mornings can be quite rough after a long weekend, but waking up to a nice hazelnut coffee can really turn things around.
3. Make sure you get enough sleep Sunday night - Needless to say, if you're not getting a great amount of sleep the day before, the next day is going to be dreadful. Going to bed a few hours early on Sunday night will be sure to make your Monday awesome.
I can honestly attest to the fact that Mondays can be dreadful, but they will only be as dreadful as you make them! Another Monday is coming soon, so get up and show that day what you're made of. Remember the opportunities and great things that are coming your way that week. You never know what big plans await you or what amazing ideas you just may come across.
