Don't Starve is a survival game based around the concept of not letting your character starve to death; but that's not the only challenge you face within this game. The game was created by Klei Entertainment (an indie game company from Canada) and it was released in 2013. One of the reasons I love it so much is the art style used in the game; it is very much like Tim Burton's style, creepy and dark and yet somehow strangely beautiful.

Since 2013, Klei has released downloadable content for the game, adding even more features and creatures and, of course, ways to die. The first DLC was titled Reign of Giants, it adds to the game three seasons, new biomes, the Giants, new trees, and new creatures that can only be found within the Reign of Giants world. Klei made another DLC called Shipwrecked; this DLC completely changes the world and most of it is water. In the beginning, you wake up washed ashore shipwrecked on an island. You can build rafts to explore the sea and other islands and look for treasure. Both DLCs add new characters to the game. The characters are all different and I recommend playing and unlocking all the characters to find the one you like best.

Recently Klei released the multiplayer version of Don't Starve onto the Playstation 4 after a long wait. It's been out on Steam (the computer) since April. The computer version is still kind of slow, so it's nice to be able to play it on the Playstation 4. The only real difference between Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together is there is more than one person playing; other than that, it is pretty much the same. In Don't Starve Together there are different game modes, personally, I have only ever played the one way where the players all work together to stay alive. So, because of this, I have a set of things I always do whenever I start a new game with someone or by myself. So I thought I'd transform my Don't Starve to do list into some tips for beginners.

1. Gather everything in sight

For the sake of making this as simple as possible to understand, I'm going to put a image below of the game and circle the things you'll want to gather.

2. Always make an ax first

As soon as you find one flint you should make an ax, it also takes one stick to make the ax.

3. When you chop down a tree, always make sure it is fully grown

The trees circled are fully grown and these are the ones you want to chop down. The others have Xs because they aren't fully grown yet.

4. Collect 12 flower petals and make a flower crown

This will help with your sanity. Your sanity will drop at night, and wearing the crown during the day will help recover it. Picking flowers will help, too!

5. Make a pickaxe and look for rocks

You need rocks to build a fire that is containable, and to build the science machine. After you have enough rocks to build these, find a spot to set up base camp and then explore!

If you ever get stuck or have questions, the Don't Starve wikia is a good place to look for info and help. Happy gaming!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
