5 Reasons I Don't Agree With Netflix Renewing "13 Reasons Why"

Earlier today I was scrolling through Twitter when I saw this video from Selena Gomez that said her hit series "13 Reasons Why" had been renewed for a second season. I was first in shock, and then I got angry. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed every episode of the Netflix series, it changed lives and forced the world to talk about suicide. However, these are the reasons I believe it definitely does not deserve a second season or any seasons after that.

***Spoilers ahead***

1. The story is about Hannah and the reasons she committed suicide.

The book centers on Hannah and her struggles leading up to her demise. It was alright to have other characters have suicidal thoughts because that is realistic, however I believe centering on their plot lines only diminishes Hannah's.

2. We already saw Hannah die

That last episode was extremely hard to watch. It was put together so nicely and it felt so realistic. But, with this second season the writers will most likely put Hannah scenes before her death. We already saw it so it doesn't make much sense to me. Technically Hannah dies in November 2017 which would mean she is still alive, but still.

3. It served its purpose

The main reason why this show was so controversial was because it made people talk about suicide. It made people pay attention the warning signs, and realize how much their words can affect someone. Dragging this on is only going to reduce that. Disclaimer*** Suicide is such an important topic and we should never stop talking about it.

4. I really don't want to see Bryce on my TV screen again.

Bryce Walker is probably the worst character to ever be on a TV show. After seeing *that scene* I never want to see him on my tv screen ever again. He can rot in hell.

5. They are making more episodes just because of high ratings

The number one reason that Netflix renews anything is ratings. They don't care about the story, they just care that people will watch it because it's "popular". I seriously saw a tweet about someone watching it just because they liked Selena Gomez.

There's nothing we can really do because it's already been renewed, but I won't be apart of it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
