Upon pursuing my lifelong goal of being more fashionable, I found myself asking whether or not to get eyelash extensions. Eyelash extensions are basically when you get individual eyelashes glued onto your natural lashes. Which means no falsies, no worries. Sign me the heck up.
After arriving at the conclusion that I would be interested in having gorgeous, full, lashes and this led to an extensive search. Searching for places to get eyelash extensions is more than half the battle. You don't want to spend an arm and a leg for some hair on your eyes, but you also don't want to risk contracting a nasty eye infection. After a week of research, I settled on a spot, made my appointment, and had the lashes applied.
The process of having them applied was actually really easy and quick. Expect mild burning after you open your eyes for the first time after getting your new lashes. And also expect some itching here and there. You just had hairs glued onto your eyelashes, of course, there's going to be mild itching. But when you look in the mirror, you're going to realize just how much you love your new look. So in my humble opinion, I think it's worth it.
Now I've had my lashes for around a month, this is what I've learned after having lash extensions: they're addictive. Having lash extensions is a vicious cycle. Now that most of my lash extensions have fallen out, I feel like my eyes are naked. So if you're planning on getting eyelash extensions, just know that you'll probably be getting them more than once.
Pros:
- No need to apply falsies for around a month
- Look decent without trying
Cons:
- Can be pricey
- Can potentially lose some eyelashes
- Is addictive
