11 Thoughts You Probably Have About Being Back At School After Winter Break

In This Article:

Coming back to university is literally a mix of so many emotions: it is hard to come back but at the same time you are ready to get out of doing nothing at home and being back with friends.

I feel that, personally, coming back I'm always excited but apprehensive which now that I think about it, is my exact reaction to going on a break.

Thinking on those lines, here are some thoughts that you have being back:

1. How was that break so fast?

2. Can’t believe I’m back onto the suffering

3. But hey! I get to meet my friends again

4. I’m so unprepared for this again

5. Who does though? I’ll be fine

6. ‘Tis a new year, new me I will get more shit done

7. Does my first day outfit look nice? What should I wear?

8. Why do they either read the syllabus out for an hour or just give us hw on the first day? There is no in between

10. I want to go home

11. But isn’t Harry Styles’ new album so good?

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
