Valentine's Day is almost here. Most people are either giddy with joy over the thought of the day of love, or are dreading it terribly. But no matter which person you are, you can always give your loved ones gifts. Even if one of those loved ones isn't a significant other, it is always nice to spread the love. But you don't have to dish out a lot of money. Just make something from the heart!
1.) Open When Cards
"Open when" cards are super cute and super easy. Just get a box of envelopes (or make your own out of scrapbook paper if you're extra crafty) and write something like "Open when... you're hungry" on the front. Then fill the envelope with goodies that can range from money to love letters.
2.) Heart on the Sleeve
Steal a page from Blair Waldorf and take their favorite sweater and sew a heart pendant on the inside of the sleeve. This also works if you buy them a new sweater and do the same thing. Whenever they wear it, they'll think about you and you can say they wear your heart on their sleeve.
3.) Bake a Cake
I am 95% sure that cake is the answer to any question! So, this valentine's day, surprise your loved ones with one. It doesn't matter if you're not the best baker, they'll love that you tried. And the sugar will cloud their brains so they won't be able to criticize you.
4.) 52 Reasons I love You
This one is super adorable. All you have to do is get a pack of cards and punch three wholes in them. Then tie them together with ribbon. After that, you simply glue small pieces of paper to each one and write a reason why you love them on it.
5.) Glitter Nail Polish
Surprise all the special ladies in your life with handmade, glitter nail polish. It's really as simple as getting a bottle of clear nail polish and adding glitter. You can also be festive by getting heart shaped glitter.
6.) Love Coupons
You can never go wrong with a classic. Get some construction paper, crayons, stickers, and glitter glue and unleash your inner kindergartner. These romantic coupons can be redeemable for activities as tame or as spicy as you’d like.
7.) Seven Days of Love
Fill a seven day pill box with little candies and goodies. Include a special message each day so that your loved one knows how much you adore them.
8.) Love Jar
All you need for this is a mason jar, paint, and creativity. Paint the mason jar and fill it with love notes, future date ideas, or whatever you think the person will love. Or you can even put a candle at the bottom to make a nice lantern.
9.) Love Letters
Embroider your very own love letters using back stitching. These love letters are easy to stitch, and can then be framed using a photo frame of your choice.
10.) A Million Kisses
Surprise your loved with a bunch of kisses. Take a large sheet of white paper and kiss it while wearing different shades of lipstick. Frame it and present it to your loved one. The idea also works well on a canvas.
