The most magical place on Earth — Disney World. Every true Disney lover has some kind of bucket list of things they want to do during their stay at the most magical place on Earth. But somehow, there just is never enough time in one trip to get everything done! Time flies at Disney. Between hitting all your favorite rides and shows, there are some Disney experiences that can be overlooked — both big and little.
This bucket list hits just some — yes, some — of the major and minor Disney experiences, other than just rides and character meets (not to say that the rides and character meets aren't great, because they are).
1. Eat at Cinderella's Royal Table
Not just an experience for children where you can meet Disney princesses galore, but a dining experience like no other. You are literally in Cinderella's castle! A bonus: if you're lucky enough to get seated by a window and have a later dinner reservation, you just might be able to watch the Wishes Firework Spectacular from inside Cinderella's castle — talk about magical!
2. FerryTale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise
Not just Wishes fireworks, but desert, too?! Sounds like my kind of party. Bonus: You're not in the crowd on Main Street (even thought it is just precious to see little kids' faces during the show).
3. Take a picture in front of the castle with an empty Main Street U.S.A.
Believe it or not, it is possible! If you make a breakfast reservation early enough — that is before Magic Kingdom even opens — then you probably have a good chance to get a shot of the castle like this and even take a nice castle selfie with a nearly empty Main Street.
4. Go to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
A good 'ole southern dinner and a show. Again, my kind of party.
5. Bar crawl the deluxe resorts via monorail
For those who are 21 years old and over, this is something you can't miss out on. Taking the monorail (aka fun-o-rail) from the Contemporary to the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian for some drinks, now that is showing your Disney side!
6. Experience Epcot's World Showcase during New Year's.
Sources tell me that the World Showcase during New Year's is like one big party! Each country has their own DJ, and of course, drinks that fit the country.
7. Stay in Magic Kingdom late enough to see the castle's Goodnight Kiss.
The Goodnight Kiss is when Magic Kingdom finally closes and the castle lights dim, bidding guests a goodnight. Also, this is usually a good time to get a picture in front of the castle — a less crowded Main Street.
8. Meet Marie on Main Street
Because she's the cutest little princess, is underrated and sometimes hard to find!
9. Run a Disney Princess 5K
Now, I personally am not a runner by any means, but a Disney Princess 5K looks fun! And you get a cute medal after jogging through Epcot and Magic Kingdom all morning.
10. Make s'mores and watch a movie at the Fort Wilderness Resort
Because roasting marshmallows on the Disney property sounds that much more appealing!
At Disney World, there is so much to see and accomplish that it can be sensory overload. It's important to spread out the days and make time for the things you really want to see or do other than just the major rides and entertainment. All and all, Disney will always have more to see and do and more things to love about it, which is why we keep going back! What is on your Disney bucket list?
