College is when we finally have the chance to be free, to fend for ourselves with no parents and no rules. Though it can be scary, we should appreciate our freedom, because we are not truly free. We are free to do as we wish, but we're using our parents' money to do so, and we will never have it this good again. Be grateful!

2. "Sometimes the right path is not the easiest one." - Grandmother Willow from "Pocahontas"

Not to be cheesy and prude, but seriously, don't be stupid, even if everyone else is. Have the confidence in yourself to say no to potentially dangerous situations. Have the willpower to get up every morning and go to class even if you went to bed at 3 a.m. Stay home and study sometimes. Skip out on that one outing to rest and take care of yourself.

3. "I never look back, darling. It distracts from the now." - Edna Mode from "The Incredibles"

Don't let your past mistakes define you. High school is over, and none of that matters anymore. You are a new and improved version of yourself. Leave it behind and do not look back. You will only get caught up in your head and could potentially ruin some great scenarios you could have in front of you.

4. "It's not flying, it's falling with style." - Buzz Lightyear from "Toy Story"

It's okay to think you're doing nothing right. We're all just winging it. (See what I did there?) Flying, falling in style, it's all the same, and the end result is what matters anyway. As long as you got through it, I promise, you're doing fine.

5. "If you don't know where you want to go, then it doesn't matter which path you take." - Cheshire Cat from "Alice in Wonderland"

Let life lead you where it wants you to go. I am a firm believer in that everything happens for a reason, and nothing is by accident. If you don't know at the moment where you want to go or what you want to do, take a chance! You might end up making some of the best friends you'll ever have or finding your true passion, who knows?

6. "Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved." - Winnie the Pooh from "Winnie the Pooh"

Enjoy the journey, the destination will come! Look around, take it in, talk to people, do things you would never do before. Experience life the way it was meant to be experienced, with your own two eyes, your own two feet, your own two hands. Go on adventures, meet new people, explore! Do everything you can before you blink and it's all over.

7. "Giving up is for rookies." - Philoctetes from "Hercules"

You got this! With a strong mindset and just the right amount of willpower, you can get through everything. You can't just give up at the drop of a hat. If one thing goes wrong, don't crumble. If you get one bad grade, don't lose your mind. Remember that one test you failed your sophomore year of high school? Is it relevant at all today? Of course not! But you can't go failing every single test, either.

8. "Always let your conscience be your guide." - Blue Fairy from "Pinnochio"

Remember that no matter how much you trust someone, you will always be the number one person who has your true best interest at heart. Always rely on yourself, rely on your gut and your intuition, even if it seems like the strangest scenario. Trust yourself. You know what you're doing, even if you don't think you do.

9. "You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." - Christopher Robin from "Winnie the Pooh"

Everybody thinks they're not ready for a new chapter in their life. But the only way to find out is to dive in headfirst. You may think you're completely lost in life, or that you can't be responsible for all of these things suddenly being put upon you, but you are more resilient than you think you are.

10. "Remember who you are." - Mufasa from "The Lion King"

Through your journey through college, remember who you are, where you come from, and what makes you unique. Don't let anything, or anyone, drastically change your inner self. Hold on to that, find something that will center you, that will bring you back, remind you of who you are. For me, that's what Disney does for me. It reminds me of the child-like happiness I am capable of giving and receiving, of the wisdom I possess, and the fun I can have. Find what that can be for you, so you can also remember who you truly are.
