Disney Family Sing-Along: Fun For The Whole Family

Over the last few weeks, many networks and celebrities have worked together to create live performances from home. Some notable examples include One World: Together at Home, Taylor Swift's City of Lover, and Disney's Family Sing-Along. After hearing good things about Disney's sing-along, I convinced my family to sit down and watch it with me.

The Disney Family Sing-Along features at home celebrity performances of a wide range of Disney songs. While some of the songs are sung by the original performers, a lot of them are covered by different artists which brings a new aspect to it. Overall, it is really cool to hear the artist's different interpretations of these songs and see how creative they can get from the comfort of their own home. After watching both editions, I have compiled a list of my favorites that are definitely worth checking out.

1. I'll Make a Man Out of You performed by Donny Osmond

In this performance Donny Osmond teamed up with his grandchildren to perform I'll Make a Man Out of You from Disney's Mulan. Osmond was the original performer for this song so not much changed there; however, I loved how he incorporated his family into it. It helped add to the family atmosphere and was just really adorable.

2. I Won't Say I'm in Love performed by Ariana Grande

In the first Disney sing-along, Ariana Grande performed I Won't Say I'm in Love from Hercules. Following its' premiere, this song appeared to be a crowd favorite. Many fans loved Grande's performance sharing it across social media platforms. This performance also put her as a frontrunner in many fans eyes for the role of Meg in the new live-action Hercules.

3. Zero to Hero performed by Keke Palmer

During the second family sing-along, Keke Palmer performed another song from Hercules. This performance even featured dancing from several of the pros of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Palmer's performance was very enjoyable. While she was already a top favorite to play one of the muses in the live action movie, this performance showcases how amazing she would truly be in the role.

4. Almost There performed by Anika None Rose and Chloe X Halle

This performance also comes from the second edition of the sing-along. In this performance, the original voice of Tiana joins forces with singing duo, Chloe X Halle, to perform Almost There. By adding in the voices of Chloe and Halle, it added a new twist to the song. It also provided fans with an idea of what they can expect from Halle when she appears as Ariel in the live-action version of The Little Mermaid.

5. Baby Mine performed by Katy Perry

If you have seen this performance, you know why I had to include it. Katy Perry joined by her dog, Nugget, performed Baby Mine from Dumbo. Since this aired on Mother's Day, the song choice was very fitting. What truly makes this performance is the outfits worn by Perry and Nugget. Perry dressed up in an elephant costume portraying Mrs. Jumbo while, her dog was dressed as Dumbo.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
