Before You Start Coloring Your Hair, Here's A Disclaimer

If you didn't know already, I have red hair. Like, blood-red hair. Bright red hair.

Before You Start Coloring Your Hair, Here's A Disclaimer

My hair is definitely not naturally bright red. I had to bleach and color my hair red to achieve the color that I wanted. And to be honest, I'm actually really pleased with the color of my hair (even though my family isn't), the only thing that I don't like is that it's hard to maintain. Colored hair, especially vibrantly colored hair, is extremely very hard to maintain.

Expect to be buying a lot of fancy shampoos that are safe for colored hair. Also, arctic fox and color depositing hair conditioners are going to be your best friend. Depending on how often you wash your hair and how vibrant you want your hair to be, you're going to be touching up your locks quite a lot. The biggest secret to having nicely dyed hair is that you need to maintain it. Your hair will become your baby and you're going to have to attend to it like you would a baby.

Having dyed hair is expensive. A list of items that I've bought to maintain my hair includes (but is not limited to): hair oil, fancy shampoo, arctic fox, deep conditioners, nourishing masks, etc. So expect to be spending a lot of time, effort, and money on your hair. Also, expect all of your towels to get stained. Also, expect the collars of your shirts to get stained. And also your pillows and bedsheets. Basically, expect everything to get stained.

In short, dyed hair is really great. But it's a big commitment. So if you're going to dye your hair a color that's not brown or black, expect to put in a lot of work. What you put in is what you're going to get back, so all of your hard work will not go unnoticed.

Good luck and I hope this helps in having the hair of your dreams!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
