The hidden interactions and experiences are the ones that we seem to remember and appreciate the most. Take a day exploring the quiet marvels throughout the city and relish the interaction, rather than the contrived.

1. Walking Tour of Architecture

From the NYC classics to the gorgeous Brownstones, the city offers some of the most astounding architectural marvels that are sure to take your breath away. Though these buildings are so special, take a step from the historical and dive into the smaller, every day beauty surrounding.

2. New York City Public Library

While walking through the city, spend a few minutes sitting on the steps of the New York City Public Library. People sing and dance, speak out about important controversies, and bustle about their busy days. The library serves as a common ground among the people in the city and allows you to experience so many different life forms at once.

3. Eat 99 Cent Pizza

Everyone hears all about the famous NYC pizza, but we look in the wrong places. The best pizza is stumbled upon while walking the streets and sold for 99 cents. Take a second to indulge in all the grease and cheese from the small vendors, not a fancy pizzeria found on Google.

4. Look Out For Flash Mobs

Amazingly, flash mobs aren't only in movies. These outbreaks range from small groups to a huge crowd, but provide the same entertainment and joy every time. It's a moment of understood and familiar cooperation among people who are creating something special.

5. Thrifting

Though many flock to Fifth Avenue to shop, there are so many great finds in thrift shops around the city. Each piece holds special experiences and memories, at affordable prices. From grunge to couture, you never know what you'll find on an exciting adventure through a thrift shop.
