Photography has taught me the power of patience. You need to get used to sitting down in front of your computer after a long day of shooting to find only 30 good photos in a memory card with over 200. And you need to be selective. You can't just use a bad photo to fill up space. Your work defines what type of photographer you are. Your reputation can take you to the most unusual places if you let it.
Photography has taught me to be perfectionist. In a time when anyone can have such easy access to a camera, you need to make sure you stand out from the others. The best photographer is almost always the most creative one. Don't be afraid to try new things. Be afraid of being afraid.
Photography has taught me to not be ashamed of what I love. Get down on the floor, get your shoes wet, sweat a little bit, live a little bit and don't care about what it looks like. Your reward is always visible through your lens.
Photography has taught to follow my instincts, to learn, to listen to my gut, to understand when it is time to take a break and when it is time to work harder. The magic of photography lays on the fact that many different worlds can be seen through the same camera, you just need to learn when to change your lenses.
